When you’re talking to someone in front of you, you talk in a different way than when you are writing.
Physical conversations might involve eye contact you talk less than when writing where you send long messages.This is an essay that I am talking about slang and most of terms that  we use in texts.

One of the things I know is that we can sometimes omit the sentence so it is shorter, but only if the other one knows what it is about (A friend tells me to go Nando’s after school at 16:00, and I “say see you later”). When we are both talking it’s instant so we understand what each other knows.

When you talk to someone you answer straight away but when you are writing you may not get the message until an hour later so have to send long messages so people get what you’re saying to them. An example is that when you’re just about to enter to the station or anywhere where is not any signal and you receive a message. You say to yourself “I’ll answer later when I came out” but you forget and the hours pass and you take a look in the night and you remember that they have text you a long time ago and you never answer back, so you reply with a long message so they understand and you understand.

Another thing that I know is that I can use abbreviations because it is better than writing the whole sentence often when the word is too long. When I talk I use the word ’cause as it is quicker and easier, but when I write I have to say because, that is because others may not understand what you have said. Also missing the person when we’re talking, like “be right back” or “be there in 10 minutes” makes spoken language quicker than writing as you can miss the subject because everyone will know that the person is talking about themselves.I also looked at the way my mother speaks and writes.  We are both faster speaking than writing; this is because we are fluent, and that we use abbreviations and omissions. I can be faster as I use slang in the modern way.

When I am at school with my friends I will say BEG or LOL (Laugh Out Loud) and my mother doesn’t understand this, but the same thing happens to me when she speaks slang from the older times. I will only use this slang with my friends because no one else will understand me. Everyone talks in a different way to friends than they talk to adults/ parents.

For example when I talk to my parent sometimes I use swearwords, but not most of the time. Then, when I talk to my friends I do use swearing words; not like swearing at them, but just saying the swearword without meaning it. Adults will also use swearwords when they are talking with their friends, but they will not use them when they are with children.In my way of writing I write calmer than she does. I write more than she does most of the times because I am the one that says what is going to happen, and I know that she is the one that asks me the question and I answer with more content that she does. Her way of writing shows that she’s scared of what can happens to me at streets. (that on a Friday night are drunk people on the streets.)

When I talk to my mum I have to speak more respectful that I used to do, differently when I talk/write to my friends I don’t just because they will know how do I feel about some really annoying things.

Emoji’s are quicker for writing because by just sending a face people can understand what’re you feeling in that exactly moment.In the time from  6- years ago and application call whatsapp came out from that moment people use more the phones that  the computers for sen messages trough whastapp:
Emoji’s: Describing how are you feeling and what do you want to interpreted so others understand you.If anyone did’t know that emoji’s originally came from and application call WHATSAPP, if you send a sad face it is going to be quicker than writing to that person that you’re sad about something that you missed in a shortly time. emoji’s is some king of global pictures that most of the people that have got a smartphone can used when they send messages. emoji’s is really good for people that might not understand what you’re trying to tell them and with a emoji they will people might not agree with this because they only send them because they like the emoji’s as they are saying how they feel.
